Arnaudville, Louisiana – On March 17, 2025, Louisiana State Police Troop I initiated an investigation into a fatal crash that occurred shortly before 9:00 p.m. on Louisiana Highway 347, near its intersection with Huron Road. The incident resulted in the tragic deaths of 42-year-old Kent Allemand and 52-year-old Angel Allemand, both residents of Arnaudville, Louisiana.

Preliminary findings from the investigation indicate that a 2010 Mazda 3, driven by Kent Allemand, was traveling northbound on Louisiana Highway 347 when, for reasons still under investigation, the vehicle veered off the right side of the roadway and collided with a tree.

Both Kent and Angel Allemand were reportedly unrestrained at the time of the crash. They suffered fatal injuries and were pronounced dead at the scene by emergency responders. The ongoing investigation aims to determine the specific circumstances that led to this tragic incident.

Authorities have emphasized the importance of wearing seatbelts while driving. Research shows that properly worn seatbelts can significantly reduce the risk of severe injuries or fatalities in crashes.
