Two New Places for Live Entertainment Coming to Downtown Lake Charles

Downtown Lake Charles will soon be getting two new places for entertainment, Panorama Music House on Broad Street and Zephyr’s on Ryan Street.

Updated December 9, 2018

Panorama Music House will be located at 329 Broad Street where Sloppy’s Downtown previously did business. The owners plan to feature live music and food, as well as bar games like pool, darts, shuffleboard, and other common pub games. The location is currently undergoing significant renovations for the new business, and there was no definite opening date at the time this was written.

Zephyr’s was announced October 20 during the annual Chuck Fest music, arts, and food festival in Downtown Lake Charles. The new venue located at 710 Ryan Street will feature live music from various genres as well as other live entertainment. There are no talks of renovations at this time since the location was already a music venue and recently closed, but it is a possibility in the future. It has been mentioned that the venue may open as soon as Halloween 2018, but that has not yet been confirmed.
Update: Zephyr’s has begun renovations to the venue, and recently had their soft opening on Friday, December 7th and Saturday, December 8th of 2018. Friday featured three local bands including Brittany Pfantz and the Sauce, Band of Sinners, and Bear and the Forest Friends. The entertainment for Saturday included comedy by standup comedians Jen Kober, Jeff DeRouen, Zack Locke, and Beth Fremaux. Zephyr’s will have their Grand Opening Friday, December 14 with local party band The Tugboats.
