Two More Louisiana Teens Arrested in Connection with March 22 Homicide of Another Juvenile in Ascension Parish

Ascension Parish, Louisiana – Two more Louisiana teens have been arrested in connection with a March 22 homicide of another juvenile in Ascension Parish.

Ascension Parish Sheriff Bobby Webre reported on April 19, 2023, that detectives with the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office’s Violent Crimes Unit arrested Aaron Landry, 18, of Gonzales, Louisiana, and a 17-year-old male of Darrow, Louisiana, in connection with Treylon Brown’s death.

Deputies responded to a shooting along Highway 22 in Darrow, Louisiana on Sunday, March 12. Deputies arrived to find Treylon Brown, 15, dead from several gunshot wounds. A second juvenile victim was also hit by gunshots and was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. Throughout the course of their investigation, investigators identified Aaron Landry and the juvenile as suspects and acquired an arrest warrant for them. Landry was arrested at his residence and booked into the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office. The juvenile turned himself in with his family present, and he was arrested and taken to the St. Benard Parish Juvenile Detention Center.

According to reports from authorities, both suspects are charged with principal to first-degree murder, principal to attempted 1st-degree murder, principal to illegal use of weapons, and principal to aggravated criminal damage to property.

At this time, detectives have arrested three subjects in this investigation. On March 17, a 16-year-old was arrested and charged with first-degree murder, attempted first-degree murder, illegal use of weapons, illegal possession of a handgun by a juvenile, and aggravated criminal damage to property. This is an ongoing investigation; more arrests are pending.

An arrest is an indication that probable cause exists to believe the subject was involved in the offense alleged. A person is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
