Two Louisiana Men Arrested in Connection with March 28 Burglary and Theft After Surveillance Images Led to Tips From the Public

Vernon Parish, Louisiana – Two Louisiana men have been arrested in connection with a March 28 burglary and theft after surveillance images led to tips from the public.

Randall Chance Green, 24, and Christian Alford, 21, both of Rosepine, Louisiana, were arrested on March 31, 2023, according to Vernon Parish Sheriff Sam Craft. The arrests are the outcome of an investigation into a residential burglary that occurred in Cottonwood, Louisiana on March 28, 2023.

During the investigation, Vernon Parish Sheriff’s Office (VPSO) Investigators discovered an ATV that had been stolen the same day from a residence on Bass Road in Rosepine, Louisiana.

Green and Alford were apprehended and each has been charged with one count of Criminal Conspiracy, two charges of Criminal Trespassing, seven counts of Theft of a Firearm, one count of Aggravated Burglary, and one count of Theft of a Motor Vehicle.

Bail was established at $177,562.00, and both individuals remained in the custody of the VPSO at the time this was published. Authorities indicated that the recovered stolen property will be returned to the owners.

Sheriff Craft thanked the public for the many telephone calls VPSO received identifying the two suspects in the surveillance images. He also to commended Detective Wade Wingate for his tireless and diligent investigation into these incidents.

An arrest is an indication that probable cause exists to believe the subject was involved in the offense alleged. A person is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
