Two Louisiana Men Arrested in Connection with Investigation that Located $40k Worth of Fentanyl, Other Drugs, and Firearms

Baton Rouge, Louisiana – The East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office (EBRSO) reported that over the month of January, EBRSO Narcotics with the assistance of DEA Baton Rouge conducted an investigation into Frank Beauchamp who is suspected to be a local street-level narcotics distributor.

On February 1, 2023, EBRSO Narcotics, with assistance from EBRSO K-9, EBRSO Intelligence, EBRSO SCAT, DEA, and Central Police Department, executed search warrants at multiple addresses including in the 1800 Block of 71st Ave., 5600 Block of D’Juanna Dr., 2500 Block of 75th Ave., 9800 Block of Avenue J, and the 7800 Block of Howell Place Blvd.

During the investigation and searches 1 pound of Fentanyl (approx. street value of $40,000)/(over 1,000 fatal doses), 7.6 ounces of Marijuana, 210 Suboxone strips, 16 dosage units of Lyrica, and $149,536 worth of narcotics and currency were seized.

A Glock .40 caliber handgun (reported stolen through BRPD), Taurus 9mm caliber handgun, Rossi .38 special handgun, Smith and Wesson 9mm handgun, and a Stag Arms A-15 rifle (.223 caliber) were also seized.

Frank Beauchamp, 57, was arrested during the investigation and charged with possession with intent to distribute Schedule II (Fentanyl), possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, possession of a Firearm with Drugs, possession of a Stolen Firearm, possession  of Drugs in the Presence of a Juvenile (13-month-old), possession of Drug Paraphernalia, money Laundering, affidavit Warrant for Distribution of Schedule II (Fentanyl), and affidavit Warrant for False Representation (Distribution of counterfeit narcotics, 2 counts)

The East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office indicated that this is the third case they completed on Frank Beauchamp since 2019, and he was out on bond for the previous two cases which were similar in seizures.

David Glover, 37, was also arrested. Glover was charged with possession with intent to distribute Schedule I (Marijuana), possession of a Firearm with Drugs, possession of Drugs in the Presence of a Juvenile (13 month old), and possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Divisions that assisted in the investigation include EBRSO SCAT, EBRSO K-9, EBRSO Intelligence, DEA BRDO (BRPD and Iberville SO), Central Police Department
HSI Air Support, and Louisiana National Guard Air Support

The East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office also indicated that a large portion of this case was made possible by the Fentanyl overtime funding provided by the State via Senator Bodi White.

An arrest is an indication that probable cause exists to believe the subject was involved in the offense alleged. A person is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
