Two Louisiana Men Arrested During Traffic Stop in Shreveport in Connection with Firearms and Narcotics

Shreveport, Louisiana – Two men from Louisiana were arrested during a traffic stop in Shreveport in connection with firearms and narcotics.

The Shreveport Police Department announced on June 6, 2023, that two days prior on June 2, shortly after 7 PM, officers pulled over a vehicle at the intersection of Hollywood Avenue and Kennedy Drive. Inside were Brandon Alexander, a 20-year-old, and Stepfone Breakfield, 21.

After speaking with the men, police reportedly discovered that they both carried firearms, as well as a significant amount of drugs. In addition to that, authorities indicated that Alexander was prohibited from owning a firearm due to prior criminal convictions.

Alexander was charged with being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm, possessing with intent to distribute CDS Schedule 1, and possessing a firearm in the presence of a controlled dangerous substance.

Breakfield was charged with Possession with Intent to Distribute Schedule One and Possession of a Firearm in the Presence of a Controlled Dangerous Substance on one count.

The firearms and drugs were taken as evidence.

An arrest is an indication that probable cause exists to believe the subject was involved in the offense alleged. All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
