Two From Mississippi Arrested in Bossier City for Drug Charges During Traffic Stop by Louisiana State Police

Bossier City, Louisiana – Two individuals from Mississippi were arrested in Bossier City for drug charges during a traffic stop by Louisiana State Police.

Troopers from Troop G recently made a noteworthy discovery during a routine traffic stop on I-20 in Bossier City. Their search of the vehicle turned up approximately one kilogram of cocaine and a small amount of marijuana. The driver of the vehicle, Robert Wheatley from Vicksburg, Mississippi, was promptly taken into custody for a number of violations, including engaging in Prohibited acts – Schedule II, Attempt and Conspiracy to Distribute Schedule II.

Adleine Bingham, Vicksburg, Mississippi, the passenger in the vehicle, was also arrested for engaging in Prohibited acts – Schedule II, Possession of Schedule I, Attempt and Conspiracy to Distribute Schedule II, and an outstanding fugitive warrant.

Region 3 Narcotics Investigators from the Bossier Field Office were called in to assist with the investigation as needed.

An arrest is an indication that probable cause exists to believe the subject was involved in the offense alleged. All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
