Two From Louisiana Arrested in Connection with Malnutrition and Homicide of a Child 

Jeff Davis Parish, Louisiana – A Louisiana man and woman have been arrested in connection with malnutrition and the homicide of a child.

According to the Jeff Davis Parish Sheriff’s Office, on October 19, 2022, Detectives were contacted by the Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) about a pending investigation concerning the death of a 12-year-old male child.

On October 20, 2022, detectives launched a criminal investigation and began questioning neighbors and family members, as well as gathering medical information. The child died on October 17, 2022, at Lady of the Lake Children’s Hospital in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. According to hospital records, the child was 42 inches tall and weighed only 28 pounds when he died.
The child was autopsied on October 24, 2022, and the autopsy report was delivered to the Jefferson Davis Parish Coroner on January 10, 2023. The autopsy findings revealed that the cause of death was complications from malnutrition, and the manner of death was determined to be homicide.

Investigators acquired arrest warrants for both parents, Jennifer Ann Duhon, 40, and Adam Duhon, 40, who were later arrested on accusations of 2nd Murder in the Death of a Juvenile on February 16, 2023.
