Iowa, Louisiana – Nighttime Lane Closures on I-10 Westbound and Eastbound for Bridge Construction at US 165 Near Iowa, Louisiana.

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) has announced that there will be nighttime lane closures on Interstate 10 in both the westbound and eastbound directions in the US 165 construction zone near Iowa, Louisiana. These closures will be in effect between Mile Marker 43 and Mile Marker 47. Beginning at 7 p.m. and concluding at 5 a.m.,

The closures on I-10 will take place on the following days:

For I-10 Westbound, the right lane will be closed from Mile Marker 47 to Exit 44. The closure will be implemented on Sunday, November 19, 2023, Monday, November 20, 2023, and Tuesday, November 21, 2023.

I-10 Eastbound will experience a closure of the left lane from Mile Marker 43 to Mile Marker 45. This closure will occur on Monday, November 20, 2023, and Tuesday, November 21, 2023.

These lane closures are necessary as part of the ongoing construction project for the new I-10 Westbound bridge. Specifically, concrete girders will be set during this period, contributing to the progress of the bridge construction.

Motorists are advised to plan their routes accordingly and anticipate possible delays during the specified closure hours. The DOTD encourages drivers to adhere to all posted signage and instructions from flagmen or other construction personnel present at the site.

If possible, alternate routes should be considered to minimize inconvenience.
