Bogalusa, Louisiana - On the evening of July 21, 2024, a somber incident unfolded on Louisiana Highway 21, resulting in the death of a pedestrian. Louisiana State Police Troop L commenced an investigation shortly before 10:00 p.m., following reports of a collision involving a vehicle and a person walking along the roadway.

The name of the pedestrian struck and killed is being withheld pending notification to next of kin.

Preliminary investigations indicate that the pedestrian was walking in the southbound lane of LA Hwy 21 when a 2005 Buick LeSabre, also traveling south, struck the individual.
