Traffic Stop in Louisiana Leads to Arrest After Authorities Reportedly Find Heroin in the Vehicle
Jeff Davis Parish, Louisiana – A traffic stop in Louisiana led to the arrest of a 22-year-old man after authorities reportedly found heroin in his vehicle.
The Jeff Davis Parish Sheriff’s Office stated on March 27, 2023, that on Saturday, March 25, deputies made a traffic stop near the intersection of Beaufort Street and Cooper St. Authorities reportedly smelt a strong stench of marijuana emerging from the vehicle.
According to authorities, a K-9 unit was on the scene and gave a positive response. A syringe containing a clear liquid presumed to be heroin was discovered during the vehicle search.
Javen Rayshawn Eaglin, 22, of Welsh, Louisiana was arrested and booked into the parish jail for possession of Heroin.
An arrest is an indication that probable cause exists to believe the subject was involved in the offense alleged. A person is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
