Carlyss, Louisiana – A section of Ravia Road in Carlyss, Louisiana will be shut down for construction work from 7 a.m. on Saturday, January 6 until 3 p.m. on Sunday, January 7 to replace power poles. The closure will occur about 550 feet from North Boudoin Road and extend east for another 400 feet. Motorists are advised to take an alternate route using Patton Street to LA 1256, then Carlyss Drive to access Wright Road from South Beglis Parkway.
The second phase of the project will entail another full closure from 7 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 8 until 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 10, approximately 300 feet west from South Beglis Parkway and extending east for 200 feet. Drivers should detour using LA108 to Boudoin Road to access Ravia Road from South Beglis Parkway.
Anticipate traffic delays and exercise caution when traveling in the area.
