Three From Louisiana Arrested in Connection with April 3 Homicide in Baton Rouge

Baton Rouge, Louisiana – Three from Louisiana have been arrested in connection with an April 3 homicide in Baton Rouge.

On April 20, 2023, the Baton Rouge Police Department reported that Homicide Detectives with the assistance of the U.S. Marshals Task Force arrested Mark Shorter, 25, Javan Shorter, 22, and Terry Barnes, 21 at an address in the 11500 Block of North Harrells Ferry Road for their suspected involvement in the shooting death of Antonio Johnson that occurred on April 3, 2023, in the 2000 block of Harelson Street.

Authorities indicated that the 3 arrestees were apprehended without incident, booked into East Baton Rouge Parish Prison, and charged with 1st Degree Murder.

An arrest is an indication that probable cause exists to believe the subject was involved in the offense alleged. A person is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
