The City of Sulphur Issues Notice of Changes to City Services Due to Stay at Home Order for COVID-19

Due to Governor Edwards Stay at Home Order, the City of Sulphur is limited to essential services until further notice. In keeping with the Governor’s Executive Order, the City has also implemented the following:

From the City of Sulphur – All City buildings are closed to the public. You can reach City Hall at 337-527-4500, or [email protected]. Up to date information regarding closures will be located at www.sulphur.org.
Any services typically handled in the Municipal Service Building, including water bill payments, permits, and occupational licensing, must be done by the drive-thru only.
Any Department of Public Works work orders or requests, that are not emergent in nature, may be delayed.
Limb and vegetation pick up service will be postponed until further notice.
Per Waste Management: Bulk item pick up service may be delayed or postponed.
The City is currently working on ways to follow the Stay at Home Order at the upcoming City Council and Land Use/Board of Zoning meetings. At this time, those meetings are still scheduled to proceed unless notified of further changes. Any other meetings or events have been canceled until further notice.
