Texas Woman Pleads Guilty in Louisiana Court to Human Trafficking of Children and Other Charges Involving Juveniles
Calcasieu Parish, Louisiana - A Texas woman has pleaded guilty in a Louisiana court to human trafficking of children and other charges involving juveniles.
Amber N. Manning, 39, of Beaumont, Texas, pled guilty as charged to Trafficking of Children for Sexual Purposes, Pornography Involving Juveniles, and two counts of Promoting Prostitution on April 3, 2023, according to the Calcasieu Parish District Attorney's Office.
Manning was sentenced to 25 years in prison on hard labor without the possibility of probation, parole, or sentence suspension. Manning will also be compelled to register as a sex offender for the rest of her life.
These charges are the result of a Louisiana State Police investigation.
The Calcasieu Parish District Attorney's Office prosecuted the case through First Assistant District Attorney Jacob Johnson and Assistant District Attorney Hope Buford.
