Calcasieu Parish, Louisiana – In a recent ruling by Judge Kendrick Guidry on July 11, 2024, Joseph J. Leday, a 36-year-old resident of Beaumont, Texas, was sentenced to 30 years in prison for a Manslaughter charge in connection to a tragic incident that occurred in 2016 in Calcasieu Parish. The sentencing stipulates that Leday’s prison term will run consecutively to any existing time he is serving.

The case dates back to 2016 when Leday was involved in a violent altercation with a friend, resulting in a fatal stabbing. Following a lengthy legal process, Leday was ultimately found guilty of Manslaughter in 2024 by Judge Guidry.
