Texas Man Killed in Louisiana Single Vehicle Crash on LA 415
Louisiana – On Saturday, May 7, 2022, Louisiana State Police reported that Troopers from LSP Troop A responded to a fatal crash on LA 415 at US 190 in West Baton Rouge Parish shortly after 4:00 a.m. Arturo Vaquera Martinez, 54, of San Elizario, TX, was killed in the crash.
According to LSP, Troopers determined that the crash occurred while Martinez was driving a 2015 Freightliner tractor-trailer northbound on LA 415. Martinez failed to negotiate the curve leading to the northbound entrance ramp to US 190 Westbound for unknown reasons. The tractor-trailer went off the road and through the guardrail before flipping over.
According to the Louisiana State Police, restraint use is unknown at this time. Martinez was pronounced dead on the scene despite the efforts of first responders to save his life. Impairment is not suspected of being a factor in this crash. Blood samples were collected for scientific analysis as part of the ongoing investigation.
