Texas Man Dies in Single-Vehicle Crash on Louisiana Highway 84

Stanley, Louisiana – On Saturday, January 11, 2025, at approximately 2:00 a.m., Louisiana State Police Troop G commenced an investigation into a single-vehicle fatal crash on Louisiana Highway 84, near Roberts Road. The tragic incident claimed the life of 19-year-old Eugene Warren, a resident of Timpson, Texas.

Preliminary findings indicate that Warren was driving a 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe eastbound on Louisiana Highway 84 when, for reasons that remain undetermined, the vehicle veered off the left side of the road. The Tahoe subsequently collided with a culvert and became engulfed in flames. Emergency responders pronounced Warren deceased at the scene.

At this time, the use of seat restraints by the driver is unknown. While authorities do not suspect impairment as a contributing factor in this incident, routine toxicology samples were collected and will be analyzed as part of the ongoing investigation.

The Louisiana State Police have emphasized that the cause of the crash is still being investigated, urging all motorists to prioritize safety while driving on the roads. The investigation aims to uncover the circumstances surrounding this unfortunate incident and to identify any factors that may have contributed to the crash.
