Suspect Shot and Killed by Police in Louisiana During Domestic Disturbance Call, Sheriff Detectives Investigating

Rapides Parish, Louisiana – A suspect was shot and killed by Pineville police in Louisiana during a domestic disturbance call. Rapides Parish Sheriff Detectives are investigating.

The Rapides Parish Sheriff’s Office stated on April 23, 2023, that at approximately 12:42 PM, officers from the Pineville Police Department responded to a residence in the 2900 block of LA Highway 107, Pineville, Louisiana, in relation to a suspected domestic disturbance complaint.

According to preliminary information, an incident with the suspect ensued when authorities arrived, resulting in the officers discharging their firearms and the suspect being shot and killed.

Darrell Basco, Chief of Police in Pineville, has requested that the Rapides Parish Sheriff’s Office investigate this event. Detectives from the Sheriff’s Office and crime scene investigators are on the scene, analyzing evidence and conducting interviews.
