Suspect in Louisiana Arrested After Allegedly Shooting at a Police Officer During a Vehicle Pursuit

Baton Rouge, Louisiana – A suspect in Louisiana has been arrested after allegedly shooting at a police officer during a vehicle pursuit.

On May 24, 2023, the Baton Rouge Police reported that Detectives arrested Borloz Louidor, 40 on May 23, for allegedly shooting at a police officer. Louidor was charged with Attempted 1st Degree Murder of a Peace Officer, Illegal Use of a Weapon, Illegal Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, and Aggravated Flight from an Officer while inside the City Limits of Baton Rouge.

Around 9:15 p.m. on May 23, BRPD Uniformed Officers were requested to assist Louisiana State Police in a vehicle pursuit of a maroon-colored Dodge pickup truck. The driver of the pick-up truck allegedly fired a shot at a police officer while assisting Louisiana State Police in the pursuit.

Police lost sight of the automobile between the intersection of Airline Hwy and Greenwell Springs Road. Police were able to locate the abandoned pick-up truck in the immediate vicinity before locating Louidor in the 6400 block of Blackwell St. Louidor was apprehended without incident.

Louidor has been placed in the custody of the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison. This investigation is ongoing.

An arrest is an indication that probable cause exists to believe the subject was involved in the offense alleged. All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
