Suspect in Louisiana Apprehended on Drug-Related Warrant Search After Deputies Locate Him Hiding Under a Bed

Jeff Davis Parish, Louisiana – A suspect in Louisiana was apprehended on a drug-related warrant search after deputies located him hiding under a bed.

The Jeff Davis Parish Sheriff’s Office confirmed on March 16, 2023, that on Wednesday, March 15, Deputies responded to an address on Plaquemine Street in Jennings, Louisiana, to try to serve a warrant on Daniel Rister.

Rister, 30, of Howard Street in Jennings, was wanted for Possession of CDS II, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of Schedule IV, and Possession of Legend Drug, according to officials.

Deputies said that they received permission from the owner to inspect the house and found Rister in a bedroom. Rister was said to be hiding under the bed and refusing to exit.
Authorities were eventually able to recover Rister from under the bed and arrest him. Rister was taken to the parish jail and booked.

An arrest is an indication that probable cause exists to believe the subject was involved in the offense alleged. A person is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
