Suspect Arrested on Numerous in Louisiana After Authorities Reportedly Locate Over 400 Fake Oxycodone Tablets Containing Fentanyl

Sabine Parish, Louisiana – A suspect has been arrested on numerous charges in Louisiana after authorities reportedly located over 400 fake Oxycodone tablets containing Fentanyl.

On February 15, 2023, Sabine Parish Sheriff Aaron Mitchell announced the February 14 arrest of Jarvarius Jamal Holden, 26 of Zwolle, Louisiana.

The Sabine Parish Sheriff Tactical Narcotics Team (T.N.T.) has reportedly been investigating Holden for distributing fentanyl pills for the previous two weeks. T.N.T. agents were able to secure a search warrant for two residences on Jenny Loop in the city of Zwolle, Louisiana.

Sabine Parish Sheriff Patrol Deputies, Detectives, Special Operations Group (S.O.G.), and T.N.T. Agents concurrently executed the search warrants at both residences.
T.N.T. agents reportedly discovered 434 counterfeit Oxycodone tablets containing Fentanyl, over one pound of marijuana, four grams of hallucinogenic mushrooms, two bottles of Promethazine syrup, assorted drug paraphernalia, and $6682 in cash.

Holden was arrested and booked into the Sabine Parish Detention Center charged with Possession with intent to distribute schedule I (Marijuana), Possession with intent to distribute schedule II (Fentanyl),
Possession of legend drug (Promethazine), Possession of hallucinogenic plant, Possession of drug paraphernalia, Aggravated second degree battery, Cruelty to juveniles (Zwolle PD case), Warrant for FTA for pre-trial conference for Possession of a schedule I,Speeding, No insurance, a Warrant for 2-counts of Possession with intent to distribute schedule I, Possession of schedule IV, Possession of firearm while in possession of CDS, Resisting an officer,  Warrant for FTA for pre-trial conference for Possession of a schedule II. Desoto Parish Warrant for FTA for status conference for Possession with intent to distribute schedule I, Possession with intent to distribute schedule II, Possession of schedule II (2-28 grams), Desoto Parish Warrant for FTA for status conference for Possession of a legend drug,
Driving under suspension, and Cancelled license plate.

No bonds have been set at this time by the 11th Judicial District Court.

Sheriff Mitchell thanked the Desoto Parish Sheriff’s Office, the Tri-Parish Narcotics Task Force, and Zwolle PD for their help in this investigation.

Sheriff Mitchell said there have been several overdoses, including two deaths, as a result of Fentanyl in recent months in Sabine Parish. Sheriff Mitchell added, “Fentanyl is a deadly drug, even in very small amounts, and it is often disguised as other popular pain pills.”

Authorities also said that T.N.T. Agents are aggressively investigating illegal drug activity involving Fentanyl and acting quickly to get this dangerous drug off the streets in Sabine Parish.

An arrest is an indication that probable cause exists to believe the subject was involved in the offense alleged. A person is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
