Suspect Arrested in Louisiana After Vehicle is Tracked to a Residence in Jennings Using a Cell Phone

Jeff Davis Parish, Louisiana – A suspect has been arrested in Louisiana after a vehicle was tracked to a residence in Jennings using a cell phone.

The Jeff Davis Parish Sheriff’s Office reported on May 30, 2023, that on May 28, at 6:30 a.m., Deputies were summoned to the area of Welsh Roanoke Junior High School to assist in the recovery of a stolen vehicle.

According to reports from authorities, the complainant was tracking her cell phone, which was in the vehicle. Authorities discovered the vehicle pulled up behind a trailer at Perry’s Trailer Park, in the 1800 Block of South Lake Arthur Avenue, in Jennings, Louisiana.

Authorities spoke with the trailer’s occupants and identified the suspect, who reportedly admitted to driving the vehicle to the trailer.

Danny Heath Guidry, 36, was arrested and placed in the parish jail for illegal possession of stolen things.

An arrest is an indication that probable cause exists to believe the subject was involved in the offense alleged. All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
