Suspect Arrested in Louisiana Accused of Stealing Fuel from Employer and Selling it to Truck Drivers
The Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office reported on August 17, 2022, that detectives apprehended a 32-year-old male who was caught selling fuel stolen from his workplace.
According to authorities, on Thursday, July 21, a fuel company reported Justin Price for stealing 1,425 gallons of diesel fuel from worksites in Desoto and Sabine Parishes between June 26 and July 17. He is accused of then selling the stolen fuel to 18-wheeler truck drivers in Caddo Parish.
The businesses filed theft reports with the Desoto and Sabine Parish Sheriff’s Offices and engaged a private investigator who was able to capture video proof showing Price in Caddo with the stolen fuel.
On Wednesday, August 17, Price was arrested and put into Caddo Correctional Center on charges of illegal possession of stolen things. The bond amount was set at $25,000.00.
