Summer Movie Series Kicks Off in Lake Charles with Family-Friendly Fun

Lake Charles, Louisiana – The City of Lake Charles is excited to announce its 2024 Summer Movie Series, a free and fun event designed for the entire family. This summer, residents and visitors alike can enjoy a series of movie screenings at the Rosa Hart Theatre, located within the Lake Charles Event Center.

The movie series will feature three exciting screenings, starting on Saturday, July 6, with a showing of the beloved animated classic, “The Great Mouse Detective.” On Saturday, July 20, families can enjoy the adventures of Woody and Buzz Lightyear in “Toy Story 4.” The series will conclude on Saturday, August 10, with a special presentation of “Pixar Shorts,” a collection of animated short films from the acclaimed Pixar studios.

Doors will open at 4:30 pm, with the show beginning promptly at 5 pm. While admission is free, concessions will be available for purchase, offering a range of snacks and refreshments to enhance the cinematic experience.
