Sulphur, Louisiana - A fatal two-vehicle crash on Louisiana Highway 27 at Ravia Road in Calcasieu Parish claimed the life of a Sulphur man early Saturday morning, according to Louisiana State Police.
Aaron Bailey, 36, of Sulphur, died at the scene following the collision that occurred shortly after 6:00 a.m. on October 11, 2025. Troopers from Louisiana State Police Troop D responded to investigate the incident.
The preliminary investigation revealed that Bailey was riding a 2020 Vita motorcycle northbound on LA Highway 27 at a high rate of speed. At the same time, a 2018 Ford F-150 was traveling south on the highway. The Ford began making a left turn onto Ravia Road when the motorcycle collided with the truck's right side, according to investigators.
Bailey sustained fatal injuries in the collision and was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Ford, who was properly restrained, suffered moderate injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Louisiana State Police collected standard toxicology samples from both drivers involved in the crash. These samples have been submitted to a laboratory for analysis, which is standard procedure in fatal traffic incidents.
The investigation into the exact circumstances surrounding the crash remains ongoing. Troopers continue to examine factors that may have contributed to the collision, including the motorcycle's speed and the sequence of events leading up to impact.
