Dustin J. Bevil of Sulphur, Louisiana, was identified and arrested on September 16 following a public tip that came after law enforcement released suspect photos to the community. The arrest concluded an investigation into multiple unauthorized entries at the high school campus.

Detectives located Bevil shortly after receiving information about his identity. Following questioning, he was booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center on five counts of unauthorized entry of a place of business. Judge Tony Fazzio set bond at $300,000 for these charges.

The case expanded beyond the burglary charges when deputies discovered additional violations. Bevil faces two counts of possession of CDS II, which refers to controlled dangerous substances classified as Schedule II drugs under Louisiana law.

Additional drug-related charges include possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bond amounts for these charges remain pending.

Bevil's legal troubles extend beyond the current charges. He faces a probation violation and had an outstanding warrant for contempt of court at the time of his arrest.
