Sulphur Man Arrested and Charged with Aggravated Crime Against Nature, Indecent Behavior with a Juvenile

Sulphur, LA – The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office has reported that on October 4, 2021, CPSO detectives received a complaint regarding Andrew J. McClelland, 27, of Sulphur, allegedly having sexual intercourse and sexually battering a girl under the age of 18, several days prior.

When speaking with detectives, McClelland reportedly confirmed that he had sexual intercourse with the girl. McClelland was arrested and booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center and charged with aggravated crime against nature; and indecent behavior with a juvenile. Judge Tony Fazzio set his bond at $550,000.

CPSO Detective Melanie Veillon is the lead investigator on this case.

An arrest is an indication that probable cause exists to believe the subject was involved in the offense alleged. A person is innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
