Sulphur, Louisiana – A scheduled maintenance project is set to impact traffic flow in Sulphur, Louisiana, as the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) has announced alternating intermittent lane closures in all directions of LA 27 (South Beglis Parkway) at the intersection with LA 108.
According to the DOTD, the lane closures are necessary to facilitate the installation of new signal equipment at the intersection. The work is scheduled to take place on Thursday, November 14, 2024, from 7 a.m. until 3 p.m.
During this time, motorists can expect delays and should plan their routes accordingly. The intermittent lane closures will affect all directions of traffic, including northbound, southbound, eastbound, and westbound lanes.
The DOTD is urging drivers to exercise caution when approaching the intersection and to follow all traffic signs and instructions from on-site personnel. The agency also advises motorists to consider alternative routes to minimize disruptions to their daily commutes.
