Sulphur Hotel Vehicle Burglaries Information and Surveillance Video – February 8, 2019

Over 100 Vehicle Burglaries at Sulphur Hotels
The Sulphur Police Department is investigating over 100 vehicle burglaries at local hotels that took place late Wednesday, February 6 or early Thursday, January 7, 2019.
Sulphur Police were called out to the hotels at approximately 1 a.m. Thursday, February 7, 2019, after there were reports of vehicle break-ins. Cheif Coats with SPD said that several patrol cars were parked at other hotels in Sulphur in hopes of catching the suspects. It is believed that the suspects waited until the police units left the hotels, then broke into several other vehicles.
Police indicated that the vehicle the suspects used as a getaway car had Texas plates. They also believe that there are five suspects and that their main goal was to steal weapons.
