Sulphur, Louisiana – Area residents in Sulphur are invited to attend Summer Splash Day Dog Wash this Saturday, June 21, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., featuring a community dog wash at Petsense. The event supports the Sulphur High Key Club and will include water activities, a variety of rescue dogs, and local food vendors.
The Sulphur High Key Club, a student-led service organization, aims to raise funds and awareness for local causes through this initiative. Do Good Dog Rescue, a nonprofit dedicated to rehoming stray and unwanted dogs, will be present with adoptable pets for attendees to meet.
Shirley J’s A Taste of Everything, a local food vendor, will provide meal options throughout the day, ensuring refreshments are available alongside the splash activities and dog pampering stations. Community members are encouraged to bring their dogs for washing and grooming, with proceeds benefiting student-led service projects and animal welfare.
Petsense is hosting the event at its Sulphur location, collaborating with local organizations to highlight the importance of community involvement, hands-on volunteering, and animal care. The fundraising effort is designed to give students a practical way to support their school and local nonprofits through active participation.
In addition to providing a fun and social setting, the event offers resources and information about pet adoption, responsible pet ownership, and ways to support student groups and rescue organizations throughout Calcasieu Parish.
