Sulphur, Louisiana – The City of Sulphur has announced a two-day closure of all municipal offices during the 2024 Christmas holiday season, while waste collection services will operate on a modified schedule.
City officials confirmed that government offices will be closed on Tuesday, December 24, and Wednesday, December 25, 2024, allowing city employees to observe the Christmas holiday. Normal operations will resume on Thursday, December 26.
Residents who rely on Waste Management services should note that garbage collection will experience a one-day delay throughout the holiday week. This modification means that customers should expect their waste to be collected one day later than their regularly scheduled pickup time.
For example, if a resident’s normal collection day falls on Tuesday, their service will be provided on Wednesday.
Regular waste collection schedules will return to normal the following week. Residents with questions about the holiday schedule can contact Waste Management’s customer service department or visit the City of Sulphur’s official website for additional information.
