Structure Fire on Sampson Street in Westlake, Multiple Departments Dispatched

Westlake, LA – On December 10, 2021, around 7:50 pm the Westlake Fire Department was dispatched to a structure fire in the 1600 block of Sampson Street in Westlake. It was reported that the Lake Charles Fire Department, Sulphur Fire Department, Ward 1 Fire Department, Ward 6 Fire Department, and others were dispatched to assist in fighting the fire. Other area fire departments were also put on standby.

Part of Sampson Street near the fire was closed for safety reasons and to run lines. Drivers should avoid the area until the fire is extinguished.
