Starks, Louisiana Home Engulfed in Flames, Multi-District Firefighting Response Extinguishes Flames

Starks, Louisiana - At 11:34 pm on March 20, Ward 6 Fire Protection District One received a report of a structure fire on Hwy 109 in Starks, Louisiana. Ward 6 Engine 5, Service 8, Unit 901, and the Air Trailer responded to assist Ward 5 Fire District. Upon arrival, the building was heavily on fire, and according to reports, firefighters initially used a defensive approach before transitioning to an offensive attack to extinguish the flames. 

Additional manpower from Ward 7 Fire Department and South Newton County, Texas Fire Department was requested. 

The home suffered severe damage, but there were no injuries to emergency responders.
