Not your typical bear hunt. No weapons are needed for this bear hunt, only eyes, and maybe a smartphone.
It doesn’t involve any type of firearm or other weapon and no harm is done to any critters. People in neighborhoods are asked to place a teddy bear in a street-facing window so that families can take a walk and go on a “Bear Hunt” while getting some fresh air. It’s a nice distraction for both children and adults during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Since Easter is near, we will also be adding bunny and egg sightings to the map.
Cities and towns on the Bear Hunt Map include Lake Charles, Sulphur, Westlake, DeQuincy, Iowa, Vinton, Carlyss, Gillis, Hayes, Moss Bluff, and Starks, as well as some surrouding areas.
If you know of a location that has a bear, bunny, or eggs use the form below the map to add it.
All sightings, including bunny and egg sightings, are currently marked with a bear icon.
Select a bear to view details about that location.
