Southwest Louisiana 2021 National Night Out Events

National Night Out is an event held yearly, on the first Tuesday of August to raise community-police awareness in the United States.
Many police departments in Southwest Louisiana usually celebrate National Night Out with a variety of events. Unfortunately, many of those events have been canceled this year as a precaution due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Sulphur Police Department and the City of Sulphur will host a National Night Out event at the West-Cal Arena from 6 pm – 8 pm. The event will feature displays by Sulphur Police and Fire Departments, a car show, and an appearance by actor and musician John Schneider known for his parts in the TV shows Dukes of Hazard and Smallville. Louisiana Lieutenant Governor Billy Nungesser will also make an appearance. Food and entertainment including free hot dogs, drinks, carnival games, and prizes will also be provided.
Iowa and DeQuincy will not be hosting National Night Out events this year due to COVID-19
