Sulphur, Louisiana - A social media posting that allegedly targeted Sulphur High 9th Grade Campus has been deemed unfounded by the Calcasieu Parish School Board, after an investigation by the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office. The posting, which originated in another state, has been circulating on social media since Friday, causing concern among parents and students.

According to the Calcasieu Parish School Board, the posting did not contain any specific details about the school or its location, and was not directed at any campus locally. However, the posting was widely shared on social media, and allegations of it being directed at Sulphur High 9th Grade Campus and/or main campus resurfaced on Monday.

The Louisiana State Police became involved in the investigation, which revealed that the posting was not a credible threat to the school. The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office has also determined that the posting is the same one that was circulating on Friday, and that it is being continually shared on social media.

The Calcasieu Parish School Board is urging parents to speak with their children about the incident, and to remind them not to share threatening behavior on social media. Instead, students are encouraged to report any suspicious activity to school officials or law enforcement.
