Six Suspects in Louisiana Arrested and Warrant Issued for Another in Connection with Distribution of Methamphetamine, Marijuana, Other Crimes
Six suspects have been arrested in Louisiana, and a warrant has been issued for another suspect in connection with the distribution of methamphetamine, marijuana, and other crimes.
Ascension Parish, Louisiana – Ascension Parish Sheriff Bobby Webre revealed on February 16, 2023, that investigators from the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit had arrested six suspects in connection with an investigation of illegal substances being distributed at a residence on Gary Babin Road in St. Amant, Louisiana.
The following are the arrests and charges:
Cole Villeneuve, 28, was arrested and charged with Possession of Methamphetamine.
Brandon Lumbard, 29, was arrested and charged with Possession of Methamphetamine.
Brooke Barriant, 29, was arrested and charged with Possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, Possession with intent to distribute marijuana, Possession of heroin, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Jessica Perry 40, was arrested and charged with Possession of heroin, and Possession of drug paraphernalia.
Brianna Goodrich, 24, was arrested and charged with Possession of heroin, and Possession of drug paraphernalia.
Dwayne Variani, 48, was arrested and charged with Distribution of methamphetamine, and Possession of heroin.
In connection with the investigation, detectives have filed an arrest warrant for Tregg Babin, 54, of St. Amant, Louisiana. Babin was apprehended in Tangipahoa Parish after a chase with law enforcement, according to detectives. Babin will later be transferred to the Ascension Parish Jail for felony bench warrant for theft, and Illegal possession of stolen things.
The Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office indicated that this is an ongoing investigation.
An arrest is an indication that probable cause exists to believe the subject was involved in the offense alleged. A person is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
