Six Suspects Arrested in Louisiana After Authorities Foil a Drive-By Shooting in Shreveport

Shreveport, Louisiana – Six suspects have been arrested in Louisiana after authorities foil a drive-by shooting in Shreveport.

On March 22, 2023, the Shreveport Marshal’s Office stated that in coordination with the Shreveport Police Department on March 20, they were able to disrupt what was suspected to be a retaliation for a drive-by shooting.

The Shreveport Police Department was called to a residence in response to persons pointing firearms at passing automobiles on Canal Blvd. Shreveport Police Department Warrants Unit and Shreveport City Marshal’s Office responded to help. While the suspects tried to retreat to the backyard, law enforcement surprised them and the suspects threw multiple firearms onto the driveway. The Violent Crimes Abatement Team (VCAT), which includes a deputy marshal as a member, arrived to assist with the investigation.

During the inquiry, investigators uncovered that the home was involved in a drive-by shooting, and it is believed that the suspects were equipping themselves for retaliatory actions.

Suspects arrested during the incident include LaQuintin Robinson suspected of Possession of marijuana with intent, possession of firearm by a convicted felon, probation from Texas; Jermiah Gatson suspected of Possession of marijuana; Devante Gooden
suspected of Possession of marijuana with intent; Jakosty Edwards suspected of Fugitive/Warrant; Dmarcus White suspected of Possession of stolen firearm, Possession of marijuana, illegal carrying weapons with control dangerous substance; and Marcus White suspected of Fugitive/Warrant
