Silver Alert Canceled in Louisiana, Missing Woman Found Safe
Louisiana State Police has reported that Mrs. Welch has been safely located. The Silver Alert has been canceled.

Louisiana – On February 15, 2023, the Louisiana State Police (LSP) issued a Silver Alert on behalf of the Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office for 75-year-old Gayle Welch.
According to authorities, Mrs. Welch was last seen by her husband at 6:00 a.m. at their residence on Albin Road in Independence, Louisiana. Mrs. Welch is suspected to have left the residence during the early morning hours in her champagne/tan colored 2006 Hyundai Tucson displaying Louisiana license plate 124ATA.
Mrs. Welch is described as a white female with brown hair and brown eyes. She is approximately 5’6” tall and weighs about 130 pounds. She was last seen wearing a black shirt and black pants. Mrs. Welch also took her small mixed-breed dog.
Family members confirm Mrs. Welch suffers from a medical condition that may impair her judgment and has not taken her medicine since yesterday.
Authorities are asking anyone with any information as to the whereabouts of Mrs. Welch to contact the Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Department at 225-686-2241 or call 911.
