Elderly Cameron Man Suffering from Dementia and Diabetes has Been Found

The Cameron Parish Sheriff’s Office would like to thank the public for assistance in locating Mr. Hildalgo. Mr. Hildalgo was discovered the morning of February 23, 2020, in Rapides Parish, where he was involved in a vehicle crash. Mr. Hildalgo was found deceased, and the investigation is still ongoing. The Cameron Parish Sheriff’s Office asks that you would please keep the Hildalgo family in your prayers.

The Louisiana State Police has issued a Silver Alert on behalf of the Cameron Parish Sheriff’s Office. They are requesting assistance in locating Alva Antony Hidalgo Jr., reported missing on Friday, February 21, 2020, from his home located in northern Cameron Parish.

Alva Hidalgo is an 82-year-old Hispanic male. He has grey hair, hazel colored eyes, is approximately 5’7” and weighs approximately 200lbs. Mr. Hidalgo was last seen at his residence located at 122 Big Lake Street at approximately noon wearing blue jeans and a grey-colored shirt. He may also be wearing a blue jean jacket. Mr. Hidalgo may be driving a 2019 Ford F150 that is silver in color displaying Louisiana license plate C945634.

Family members confirm Mr. Hidalgo suffers from dementia and diabetes and his medical condition may impair his judgment.

Mr. Hidalgo may be in Southeast Texas.
