Silver Alert Cancelled for Missing Elderly DeQuincy Man

July 12, 2022, update:

DeQuincy, Louisiana — On July 12, 2022, Louisiana State Police reported that the Silver Alert that was issued on behalf of the DeQuincy Police Department regarding the disappearance of Eddie Thompson has been cancelled. Thompson has been located and is alive.

According to reports, as of July 10, 2022, at 8 pm, an elderly DeQuincy, Louisiana man that went missing on July 8 is still missing.

DeQuincy, Louisiana — The Louisiana State Police have issued a Silver Alert on behalf of the DeQuincy Police Department, asking for the public’s help in locating Eddie Charles Thompson, 76. He was last seen early Friday morning, July 8, on Jake Rigmaiden Road in DeQuincy, Louisiana, in Calcasieu Parish. Thompson has is a white male with gray hair and brown eyes. He stands about 5’9″ tall and weighs about 160 pounds. Thompson has a medical condition that may impair his judgment.

Thompson is thought to be driving a silver 2003 Honda Accord with the Louisiana license plate 511ECP.

Anyone with information about Thompson’s whereabouts is asked to call the DeQuincy Police Department at 337-786-4000 or dial 911 immediately. Anyone with questions is also asked to contact the DeQuincy Police Department.
