Shooting Investigation in Louisiana Upgraded to Homicide Investigation, Authorities Asking For Help Locating Suspect
Alexandria, Louisiana – Authorities in Louisiana have upgraded their investigation into a shooting incident to a homicide investigation, and are now asking for help in locating the suspect.
The Alexandria Police Department stated on May 10, 2023, that officers were summoned to an address in the 200 block of 4th Street, at the Rapides Regional Hospital, in relation to someone arriving with a gunshot wound on Thursday, May 4, 2023, at around 11:35 AM.
According to reports from the Alexandria Police Department, upon arrival, the investigation showed that one person had been wounded and was in critical condition. The incident is thought to have occurred on Sycamore Street in Alexandria, Louisiana.
In connection with this investigation, Alexandria Police Detectives arrested Bryan W. Ortego of Pineville, Louisiana, for alleged Obstruction of Justice and Distribution of CDS I (Marijuana) later that afternoon.
Skyler Delaney, 18, of Pineville, Louisiana, succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at a local hospital a few days later.
Alexandria Police Investigators acquired an arrest warrant for Roosevelt London on Wednesday, May 10, 2023, for one count of Second Degree Murder. According to police, London is described as a black male who stands 5’8″ and weighs 180 pounds.
Police said that London is wanted, and he should be treated as armed and dangerous.
Officials stated that the inquiry is still ongoing.
