Sheriff’s Narcotics Division in Louisiana Arrests Five Adults and Three Juveniles in Connection with Distribution of Methamphetamines, Marijuana, and Other Crimes

Union Parish, Louisiana – Five adults and three juveniles were arrested in Louisiana by the Sheriff’s Narcotics Division in connection with the distribution of methamphetamines, marijuana, and other crimes.

According to the Union Parish Sheriff’s Office (UPSO), officers with the Narcotics Division began investigating the suspected selling of illegal narcotics from a property on Smith Street in Farmerville, Louisiana earlier in 2023. As a result of this operation, eight people have been arrested, including three minors.

The four-month investigation resulted in the issuance of warrants for Robert Lee Washington, 51, of Farmerville, Louisiana, and Helaina Renee Washington, 46, also of Farmerville, Louisiana for their involvement in the distribution of illegal narcotics from their Smith Street residence.

According to authorities, agents from the UPSO Narcotics Division worked alongside deputies from the Patrol, K-9, SRO, and Reserve divisions to serve the warrants on Saturday, April 22, 2023. Deputies arrived at the residence and discovered numerous additional persons inside. A search warrant was executed, and suspected methamphetamines and marijuana, as well as other drug paraphernalia and a firearm, were reportedly discovered throughout the residence.

Three male juveniles were discovered inside the residence during the execution of the warrants. They were issued a summons for their involvement. Ronald Paul Reed, Jr., 35, of Farmerville, Louisiana, and Maraco Shread Jones, 37, of Farmerville, Louisiana were both arrested for their involvement. Reed was charged with resisting arrest after providing false information regarding his identity throughout the booking process.

Bryan Shedrick Boyette, 54, Farmerville, Louisiana was reportedly found to be substantially involved in the narcotics distribution from this location, as were both of the Washington individuals, according to reports from authorities. Boyette was already detained at the Union Parish Detention Center for unrelated reasons. He was arrested because of his prior involvement in this crime.
