Sheriff in Calcasieu Parish Reminds Residents of Statewide Burn Ban

Calcasieu Parish, Louisiana - Calcasieu Parish Sheriff Tony Mancuso made an announcement reminding residents that a statewide burn ban in Louisiana is still active.

This ban was implemented by the Louisiana Office of State Fire Marshal in partnership with the Louisiana Department of Agriculture and Forestry, and it strictly prohibits any form of private burning without any exceptions.

Furthermore, the ban also extends to agricultural burning.

Authorities ask that residents please take note of this important information and refrain from any activities that may lead to fire incidents.
