Shelter in Place Issue for Some Units at Sasol in Westlake

A shelter in place has been issued for lab units at the Sasol plant in Westlake. Dick Gremillion with the Office of Emergency Preparedness and Homeland Security said that there are currently no recommendations for an offsite shelter in place.
Westlake Chemical north plant has reported a hydrochloric acid leak at their plant in Westlake, according to Dick Gremillion with the Office of Emergency Preparedness and Homeland Security.
Air tests are being conducted at this time.
