Seatbelt Checkpoint in Calcasieu Parish April 23 for “Buckle Up In Your Truck” campaign
Lake Charles, LA – The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office announced on April 21, 2022, that it is taking part in a crackdown on unrestrained drivers. The “Buckle Up In Your Truck” campaign, which runs from April 23 to April 30, is a collaboration with the Louisiana Highway Safety Commission (LHSC). The LHSC has provided funding for this campaign.
On Saturday, April 23, the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office will conduct a seatbelt checkpoint at an undisclosed location in the parish. This checkpoint will target people who are not wearing seatbelts in pick-up trucks or any other type of vehicle.
