Calcasieu Parish, Louisiana - In a move to reflect the changing seasons, the Calcasieu Parish Police Jury has announced the closure of the splash pads at Prien Lake Park and River Bluff Park for the winter season. This decision comes as the weather begins to cool down, marking the end of the warm-weather recreation period.

Both Prien Lake Park, located at 3700 West Prien Lake Road, and River Bluff Park, situated at 543 Theriot Road in Moss Bluff, are managed by the Calcasieu Parish Police Jury. Although the splash pads are now closed, the parks themselves will remain open to the public. Prien Lake Park's operating hours are from 5 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily, while River Bluff Park is open from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily.

The splash pads are expected to reopen in early summer next year, providing a fun recreational outlet for families and children during the warmer months.
