School Cancelled in Calcasieu Parish Monday, August 30

Published August 27, 2021

The Calcasieu Parish School Board has made the decision to cancel school and close all facilities Monday, August 30, 2021, due to the possibility of inclement weather due to Tropical Storm Ida.

From the Calcasieu Parish School Board – Due to the possibility of inclement weather, all CPSB schools and facilities will be closed on Monday, August 30. While we do anticipate returning to school on Tuesday, August 31, we will provide an update to families by Monday afternoon.

On the one year anniversary of Hurricane Laura’s landfall, it certainly saddens us to make this announcement, however the safety of students, faculty, and staff will always be our top priority. We encourage everyone to closely monitor the weather and make necessary plans for your family. Please stay safe during this time, and we look forward to welcoming everyone back to our campuses soon.
