Calcasieu Parish and Jefferson Davis Parish in Louisiana – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development has revealed upcoming roadway closures for US 165 Northbound and Southbound at Interstate 10 in Calcasieu and Jefferson Davis Parish. These closures are essential for maintenance and safety improvements.
Updated: Scheduled for the nights of Monday, May 20, 2024, and Tuesday, May 21, 2024, Northbound at Interstate 10 will undergo a full closure from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. On the nights of Tuesday, May 21, 2024, and Wednesday, May 22, 2024, US 165 Southbound at Interstate 10 will experience a full closure during the same hours.
Updated: From Monday, May 20, 2024, to Friday, May 24, 2024, US 165 Southbound and Northbound left lanes will be closed.
These closures were previously scheduled for Monday, May 6, 2024, until Wednesday, May 8, 2024, then rescheduled for Thursday, May 9, 2024 – Tuesday, May 14, 2024. The updated dates and times are above.
Motorists are advised to follow detour routes to avoid disruptions.
For US 165 Northbound, the recommended detour involves proceeding east onto I-10 South Frontage Road, then heading north onto LA 101, and finally north onto US 165. Meanwhile, for I-10 Westbound, drivers should travel west onto LA 3258, then north onto LA 383, and west onto the I-10 Westbound on-ramp at LA 383.
For US 165 Southbound, the detour route includes heading west onto LA 101, then south onto LA 383, further east onto LA 3258, and finally south onto US 165. Notably, the I-10 Westbound on-ramp will remain accessible to US 165 Southbound traffic throughout the closures.
